Sunday, 27 May 2012 STMTC will host tactical/defensive rifle training at our BlackHawk
facility, 9am-4pm. Class designed around the M4, but other platforms are welcome. Training
conducted by Effective Defense Consulting Co.
Fee is $30 for members and $75 for non-members. Drill requires
350 rounds of ammunition. Following is a list of mandatory equipment:
rifle (no .22LR/Mag), at LEAST two magazines (more is better),
magazine pouch, hearing protection, eye protection, rugged footgear,
headgear, shooting mat, dummy cartridge. Elbow and knee pads are
recommended, but not required.
Participants must already be proficient with their firearms. This is a basic
course in tactical fundamentals, involves shooting while moving, and is
conducted in an "always hot" environment. Your firearm will remain
loaded at all times, as it is in the field. Appropriate uniform is necessary.
Law Enforcement personnel wear your duty gear. Military participants
wear appropriate kit. Civilians can wear whatever, as long as you meet
basic equipment requirements.
